- S: Some moments requiring extreme suspension of disbelief involving a very resilient survivor, a catch from a great fall, and the functional features of the ship.
- C: Overall great. Every now and then there is a weak moment with the Xenomorph cgi/animatronics, but these are contrasted by shots with great lighting and set-design.
- E: This film is relentless. Even when you think it's over, it keeps kicking.
- N: Perhaps one of the best expositionary set-ups in the alien franchise. Very strong conceptually all the way through, only weakness was the re-use of a common synthetic theme from all the previous films.
- T: On my initial watch, the film received three bonus points: one for the expositionary great setup of the film and tasteful callbacks to previous films, one for excellent use of the sci-fi technology to enhance the plot, and one for a great soundtrack.
Excellent addition to the series. Cailee Spaeny held her own in Sigourney's big shoes. The film managed to maintain the spirit of the previous while adding new depth.
