- Sensibility: Christy's decision making and motivations are so poorly communicated that the events that take place often seem like surprises. The film jumps over major leaps in character development and expects the viewer just to go along with it so the story can progress.
- Cinematography: Costuming and hair stand out as the most stylistic and interesting visuals in the film. Production design is solid, but lighting is quite bland and there's little visually the film has to offer outside of a few brief moments. Editing, particularly in the beginning, is so bad it disrupts the flow of the film.
- Energy: The film's beginning is so choppy and disjunct that it is distracting. The pacing is quite poor, with lots of ups and downs in attempt to crescendo to a big climax. While the climax is quite powerful, the rest of the film is quite dull.
- Narrative: Huge portions of the film are made of melodramatic dialogue that strains the realism of the film. The incredible true story is tainted by the push for cinematic effects. Scenes end abruptly and without good reason. The beginning pushes some narrative issues artificially, rather than letting the conflict grow naturally from the contrasting characters present in the story.
- T-Points: The film received two bonus points: one for a great snap transition for a "wake-up" call and one for the casual cruelty of Jim's grand act of violence
Another bad biopic film in a string of bad biopic films, and it mostly comes down to poor writing.
