- Sensibility: The film is only reasonable because very few things happen. Even then, there are a lot of phone calls with dialogue that is ridiculously artificial.
- Cinematography: The fashion show elements are so corny, awkward, and uninspired that they essentially ruin the ending of the film. In a film about fashion and modelling, the costuming is hilariously bad and bland. There are clear editing issues, like a scene where dialogue around Ukraine randomly cuts and a large number of scenes that drag on far too long for no reason.
- Energy: This 1.5 hour film felt more like 3. The ability to focus is constantly being tested by the films frantic movement between a series of side character narratives, none of which is interesting enough to merit the time spent.
- Narrative: In a film full of weaknesses, the narrative is far and away the biggest. The film is essentially about a bunch of supporting characters, with no main focus or main storyline. Half of the film takes place on the phone, and the dialogue in these portions is noticeably unrealistic. The back and forth between the different storylines is distracting and meaningless because none of the storylines are strong enough or interesting enough. It's like they tried to tell 3 poor short stories simultaneously, which just makes all of them worse.
- T-Points: The film received one (generous) bonus point for a shot with a collapsing seating area.
The parallel storylines narrative only works if all the parallel stories are worthwhile and interesting. Unfortunately, all of them here are trite, non-sensical, and dull. A show about fashion
that is wildly unfashionable is humorous in a anti-humor/anti-art kind of way, and that may be the most interesting thing about this movie.
