- Sensibility: The film suffers from regular interruptions from far-fetched stakes increases and fantastical events: the pit stop chicanery, a document scandal, a deal to sell a team, and last minute repairs all make for fun cinema but poor sensibility.
- Cinematography: The soundtrack, sound design, and score are the highlights of the film by far. Visually, fairly disappointing honestly. Perhaps I've been spoiled by Netflix's Drive to Survive, but getting those first hand shots of the actual races makes the ones in the film pale in comparison. Also, quite a bit of dodgy cgi take away from the immersion.
- Energy: A pumping soundtrack, lots of action, and classic characters keep things moving. Lulls a bit with some predictable bits of romance and loathesome dramatic twists, but otherwise it is great fun watch.
- Narrative: It's a classic competitive sports story told a hundred times before (in both a good and bad way), but it has a few sharp turns that keep it interesting. Very much appreciated a focus on the importance of engineering in racing, an often overlooked aspect by the casual viewer.
- T-Points: The film received one bonus point for a unique and interesting twist for the win at the end
I think Drive to Survive has spoiled this for me. I keep asking why this movie exists when we already have all the drama, action, and inside look into the real F1. Regardless it's a fun watch that everyone can enjoy
