- Sensibility: The film is full of lapses in logic. Particularly some choices around guns and other weapons, a bit around a hole in the plane and the cabin's eventual stabilization, the juxtaposed desire for secrecy and conspicuous conversations, mormon violence, and a slew of ridiculous survivals and deaths.
- Cinematography: The film's sound design is too extreme. This is meant to play into the gore of the film, but there are times, like a fight scene with a coffee pot, where it is so ill-fitting that it is distracting. Also some of the gore cgi is jarring. Production design is decent, and there is a lot of creativity in the use of props for violence.
- Energy: The film has moments, but the constant violence gets a bit stale, especially since the slower moments are either non-sensical or out of place in the narrative.
- Narrative: The story crams too much violence and action in at the cost of sensibility. It then tries too hard for comedic moments when the majority of the film is already ridiculous; notably a scene around yoga and the violence on the pilots. Add to this a confusing focus on child labor issues and some awful attempts to pull at the hearstrings, and you've got a bona-fide mess of a story. The cherry on top of this disaster is then a botched cliff-hanger ending opening the door to a sequel.
- T-Points: The film received no bonus points.
This film is the perfect example of why people need to find un-biased review platforms and critics to evaluate movie opinions. The rotten-tomatoes acclaim this film
received is confounding given the film's issues. Paid shills fill the review spaces and spam good reviews for films that really don't deserve it.
