- S: The ending definitely stretches the bounds of the reality the story takes place in, but the figuratively, and perhaps literally, miraculous ending holds meaning in the story. Not sure I've seen a movie where its in-sensibilities actually contribute to the theme. In hindsight, Mr. Reed's elaborate scheme is so fantastical in detail that it tends towards impossibility.
- C: The set design is excellent and critical to the quality of the story. There are also some excellent shots and some great framing, but I feel some of it gets a bit repetitive.
- E: Great pacing. The characters are constantly asking questions and trying to follow logical paths which keep turning the narrative in new complicated ways.
- N: Excellent story embody Inf the battle between theism and atheism through a horror-thriller. Avoids many of the the pitfalls of many religious based horror films except for a demonic corpse-figure.
- T: The film received three bonus points: one for the writing in of great decision making from the characters which is absent from most horror films, one for High Grant's great performance, and one for the presence of both kinds theological arguments with merit.
The trailers did not do this film justice. It is surprisingly nuanced given the simple premise. One of the best horror/thriller films of the year in a year full of great horror/thriller films.
