- Sensibility: The film purposely pushes the boundary too far. The film dwells entirely in a deconstructed world of situationally accelerating nonsense.
- Cinematography: Perhaps the most visually unique film I've ever seen. Incredible clash of styles, colors, and effects. There's stop-motion, cgi, and live-action across drama, romance, comedy, horror, and action genres. Only weakness is that some of the editing adds to the noise rather than reduces it, making certain interjections for memories or thoughts from the main character awkward and more confusing than interesting.
- Energy: A loud film exactly as it's intended. The messiness of the plot does detract from the flow of the film, particularly near the end.
- Narrative: The film tackles so many different ideas in intentionally gaudy and direct ways. The blend of such disparate genres alone is noteworthy and plays well with the visual style of the film. However, all these disparate ideas make it hard for some features to shine. A demonic lover character is extremely interesting but feels tangential to the story in a way that makes his entire presence feel confusing and pointless. In fact, nearly every plot point of the story feels tangential because the film jumps so quickly to a new, higher octane topic every other minute.
- T-Points: The film received four bonus points: one for a sloped building; one for a breath hold race change; one for a vicious, demonic sex scene; and one for a great stop motion live action blend action sequence.
Overall, fun watch with a lot of uniqueness to offer. Better than most movies that come out in theaters purely from the fact that it is something genuinely different from everything else.
