- S: The story tends on borderline nonsense throughout. The movie requries you to abandon hindisight completely to suspend disbelief: if John Wick is such a badass, how did he let those guys
break into his house in the first place, how is John Wick such a perfect shot unless he's shooting at one of the targets that matters, if the primary villain really wants John Wick dead why doesn't he watch him die or kill him more swiftly, and the questions go on.
- C: The action sequences are far and away the highlight of this film and are the reason the franchise is successful or even is a multi-film franchise to begin with. However, there were moments were I think
Keanu Reeves anticipated or was looking for a move from the stunt guys that didn't resemble real life combat.
- E: Very fun watch, with a bit of a lull with all of the hotel chicanery.
- N: Conceptually it's not that bad. People joke that this violent revenge arc spurring from the death of a dog is ridiculous, but I think it actually explain something about John Wick the character. Additionally,
I very much liked that they let Wick achieve his objective and the story kept going.
- T: The film received one bonus point for a scene where John Wick shoots a guy in the foot around a column.
It's about what you expect. High octane action with not a lot else. The film can't help but resort to tropes, especially surrounding the main villain. Still a fun watch and is good enough to have earned a
few follow-on films as it did.
