- Sensibility: A car bomb is a particularly questionable and prominent element of a story that is otherwise pretty sensible.
- Cinematography: Solid framing, production design, and costuming all stay under the radar while giving the characters and story the right feel. Brilliant editing is probably the highlight of this film; it is one of the few with a repeat/flashback sequence that doesn't feel stale or repetitive.
- Energy: Great, fun watch propelled by great dialogue, performances, and editing. A few scenes feel particularly tangential, especially in hindsight, but overall the vision and progression of the story is clear and straightforward.
- Narrative: Strong characters with excellent, dramatic, but not melodramatic dialogue keeps things real and moving. Biggest weakness of this story is that it has been done many times before, and with less fiction. This story is so near real events with a few major corporations that this story feels artificial and less meaningful in comparison with the real thing.
- T-Points: The film received two bonus points: one for a great conversation in an office where a check is handed and a conversation about a red booklet is left unsaid, and one for a murder scene.
After watching again, I'm not sure why this film gets the attention it does. Decent dramatic thriller, but missing anything particularly special to take it over the edge for me.
