- Sensibility: A few dialogue decisions and characters that are too Hollywood for reality, but that is par for the course for historical dramas.
- Cinematography: The film has solid costuming, production design, lighting, and framing choices. However, on the whole, the film is lacking in unique or interesting visuals. Editing is solid, but there are a few moments that felt, particularly between Eisenhower and his attendant that should have been cut entirely
- Energy: A film about a weather forecast is unfortunately about as boring as it sounds.
- Narrative: There is so little substance in the story that they have to fabricate awkward interactions between Eisenhower and his attendant and other officers just to propel the run-time long enough for it to still be considered a feature length film. The characters are ill-defined, either too one-dimensional or inconsistent.
- T-Points: The film received two bonus points: one for a great bit of dialogue and acting from Andrew Scott after a tragic phone call about his wife and one for a great bit of sound design with an Italian song and a bird's call turning into a siren.
Classic Father's-Day movie release. This might be the most dad-coded movie of all time: weather and war. However, just like the weather forecast for Normandy June 6 1945, the film is quite poor.
