- Sensibility: The feasability of the game is a pervading issue throughout. Particularly convenient for the story are the lack of police presence during key moments, a lack of violence,
and fortunate injury avoidance, and a shocking return from a foreign country.
- Cinematography: Great production design and costuming throughout. Solid framing helps draw the eyes to key visuals and keep the story moving. However, the drug visual effect is uninspired and dull.
- Energy: Great watch supported by a very intellectually intruiging narrative and near-perfect cinematic execution. Only lulls a bit between the interactions with Christine and the
drop in Mexico.
- Narrative: The game concept is excellent. However, the level to which they push the stakes feels a bit too fanstastical, particularly around the drugging and abandonement in Mexico, which
is a particularly weak portion of the film.
- T-Points: The film received one point for the concept of the game and the complexity of the narrative.
Undeniably amazing watch. Few films have such a great marriage of complexity and execution. Michael Douglas also delivers a great performance.
