- S: A few scenes near the end make this movie take a turn for the worse. In particular, a scene at the end of a cooking competition and a scene ice skating.
- C: Nothing particularly spectacular or novel cinematographically. Decent costuming/makeup to help make sense of the time travelling, but there is a jarring cgi mistake in an ice skating scene.
- E: The jumping back and forth in time adds in some instances but detracts in others. It's not hard to follow, but its a bit annoying that some moments are interrupted to travel in time.
- N: The time travel narrative is done well here because there are clear stages emotionally and physically in the couple's relationship. However, the story mostly avoids some
pretty large topics like parents, siblings, and previous relationships that always have a huge impact on these kinds of things.
- T: The film received three bonus points: one for a great scene with a written speech that goes unsaid, one for a brilliantly written acted scene with a couple's heated argument, and one for a tasteful ending.
Has a pretty solid emotional buildup which falls a bit flat due to a messy ending. A few new ideas to the sad romance concept that I thought were tasteful, but not enough to push
this film over the edge.
